You may have travelled the world but today, it’s the ‘kampung’ life that get my heart sailing. Ive come from ‘kampung’ somewhere in Negeri Sembilan and living away from hometown is a mixed kind of feelings, I tell you. From an ‘anak mak’ now I have to be a decision maker in life. I have been an ‘hakak-hakak’ now, I guess.
I couldn’t remember how much I miss the savoury dishes of my mak’s cooking, you know the ‘lidah Negeri Sembilan’, right? The richness of the taste and the traditional servings, it is so cool! That is why, I choose to be a Chef so I can introduce the the delicious taste of our local food to the whole world. Eventho I like snacks more, but your foods are delicious, mak! I learnt cooking from my mak and she is one of my inspiration. Same goes to my dad, the one who taught me to always be humble and be kind. Also, inspire me to open a startup since he was a businessman himself!
As a 20-something year old girl, I am also struggling to find a balance between my personal and career life, so I opened my own startup called ‘BANANAISE’ which it will produces a lots of banana products from snacks to drinks. It also grab my soul as I am a banana itself, and this is my path. Let’s see where we go!
